Default Non LS1, but tuning question...

I have a buddy that has a 1997 Vortec 350 engine and trans. transplanted into an early model chevy truck. He is looking to do a mild turbo set up. I have been trying to find info on the ECM utilized in this app, but have not had much luck.
The engine/tranny PCM etc.. came out of a 1997 Chev. 2500.
What are our tuning options with this set up? He wants to keep the fuel injection..etc..

Thanks!
Rick

Unless he converts to the marine intake for the fuel injection he won't be able to make much extra power before he runs out of fuel. There are no injector options available for the stock central port unit. For the pcm 96-97 were bastard years so tuning is not out there. You could fairly easily convert to the 98 pcm but then you still have the fuel issue to work out. The best option for tuning would be the 411 pcm as noted above. You would need to change the pcm connectors on the harness for that.

Would it be feasable for him to use a edelbrock EFI vortec intake, elbow and LS1 TB with a 98 PCM? Does the vortec use compatible crank and cam position sensors?
