lt1 pcm hates me
I have lt1 edit and i'm really stumped right now. I've loaded tunes before, but now just seem to be stuck. i've had my PCM fixed so that I can replace the chips since i seem to be having issues getting it to connect and having it fail on a burn.
I'm having a hard time getting it to just read anymore. I get to 70% and then I start getting messages that it's trying to connect to PCM again.
I don't have my old 386 which worked fine, part of me is thinking of taking one of my older laptops and putting win95 on it, just to see if that will fix it. I'm using xp now, with no firewall and no anti-virus on.
any thoughts ideas of things I can try?. I just want to it be consistently able to read so that i can write my new file.

i killed all the other programs. my mfc42.dll had to be replaced with the original version, that seemed to help, but not sure what else is hanging it up. it takes 10 min to get to 70%. it's a lot slower than use to be on win95. i'm thinking of just adding a win95 partition and installing lt1edit there. not sure what else to try with winxp.

I have had poor grounds cause collection errors in Datamster. I would make certain all connections on the data link are solid.
May not fix your problem, but it will eliminate poor connections as a potential problem.
Good luck

I was just telling someone else in another post about this... I killed 3 OBDI PCMs before I figured out it was my new laptop with XP causing it. Went back to an older laptop with 98 and never had another problem. That was a few years back... now I handle the problem by just not touching LT1's...
