how can I tell if my car has an hp tuner? The car I traded for, the person told me it was tuned with an hp tuner, is there anyway to verify that is true?

it doesnt matter what it was tuned with....the file in the PCM is still a raw hex file in the end.
you can read it with any tuning system...
if it has a custom OS, you will only be able to read it with the same software used to write it..
however..with HPT you can read any file...may not be able to understand it or see any values if its somebody elses custom OS...but you can download the actual file from the pcm...LOL
if it still has a "normal" operating system, there is no way to tell what tuning program was used to modify the tune... but if its a "normal" OS, you can read it with any of the software tuning systems and make your own new changes or compare it to an original stock operating system in that file format.
