Default P1637 with rough runnning..

Hey guys-

Having this code, along with rough running.. It's going rich and getting unmetered fuel causing backfires and rough running..

I've got an Interceptor gauge that plugs into the ODB port and when the engine starts to run rough, the gauge shuts off..

So.. I'm thinking my alternator is crapping out, the loss of voltage is shutting down the Interceptor and PCM??

Does that sound logical?

Thanks

Jeff

At the battery it's around 13.98Xv..
At the battery terminals it fluctuates from 0.00v to 14.12v's.. It will come on and stay steady at 13.99 and then fluctuate down to 7.Xv and 3.Xv and the 0.00v...

I just rebuilt my motor and mine is doing the same thing with the same code. It ran find before i had it gone thru but it smoked bad.
I replaced the alternator and plug and that didnt fix it. All the grounds are attached on the main harness.
I am stumped......
I posted my problem earlier....

Just got a PM about this thread, so I thought I'd post up.

I'm pretty sure this is when I had a bad coil pack. I replaced it and everything was back to normal instantly. I found the bad one by looking for it to arc to the valve cover.
