Default Should I Have The Error Code P1153 Shut Off?

I had my headers installed and my car dyno tuned by TTP Performance and my CEL keeps coming on with the same code (P1153). I have been searching these forums and the GTO forums for possible solutions and the most obvious one (also recommended by my tuner) is to have the code shut off. I have gone through three o2 sensors in two months and the code won't seem to go away. My main concern is having my car run and perform properly, so I want to do this correctly. I'm assuming the car is running rich with the code on. What will turning the code off accomplish (besides the hiding the CEL)?

I've tried Bosch and Delphi o2 sensors. The car is an 05 GTO with catted mids. I did an exhaust leak test and even replaced all the wiring leading to the passenger header o2 sensor because I have read about slow relay problems.

Thank you all in advance.
