whats better to have MAF or not when having it tuned

well my budy has 70k on his 2000 ws6 with prc 2.5 5.3 heads, ms3 cam, fast 102R intake, fast 42 lbs injectoers, underpulley, pacesetters LT, ORY and cutout and dyno yune with out MAF and made 503RWHP and 420TRQ

92/92 fast set up, 1 7/8 headers, smallest comp cam thumpr cam, but later im goin H/C/I 6.0, i got the car like this, i think its a bad combo that cam is a low end cam and high rpm intake and headers
