Default Need help with testing MAP Sensor

I just finished installing a LQ4 into my 89 Camaro. This car has a turbo and I'm about to start trying to tune the thing. I started of by clearing all of my DTCs as well as playing around with my PE tables.

While logging last night I noticed that I'm not getting any reading for my MAP sensor. I checked my wires to make sure it was plugged in and it was. Can somebody tell me how to test my MAP because I know PE needs a working MAP correct? Thanks!

Are you sure you have the right PID selected?

At the risk of sounding even more like a rookie I'm not sure what you mean. I noticed that the MAP wasn't registering anything while using the HPT scanner. It just sat at 10 kpa.

After reading your question again and doing a little more research, Yes I have the correct PID selected. Any idea how to check the sensor?

Problem solved. It turned out to be the signal wire wasn't making contact with sensor.
