1. Turn key on but don't start car.
2. Pull PCM BAT and PCM IGN fuses in engine compartment.
3. Wait a few minutes.
4. Turn ignition off.
5. Replace fuses.
It will take the car a while to relearn the fuel and timing curves so don't worry about a temporary performance loss.

Or get an A-tap. You need to find out why the code was set. If you don't know what set the light you'll never get it correct, and its a good possibility that it will be back. If you don't have an A-tap surely someone in your area does.
FYI,
every time you force DTC errors cleared you not only force PCM to have to relearn but you also just wacked all the onboard PCM I/M smog tests and some can take as much as 40 plus valid drive cycles to be back into a "Completed" passed state.
I suggest you let the error age out and clear by itself for then all the smog tests that were in a passed state still are.
Aging out may only take be like 3 drive cycles IF the problem has been corrected.

Thinks I used your method and it worked great. The code had come up because of a plug wire that wasnt secure.
