advice please...
i have a 2002 t/a that has a 451 lsx with ALL the bells and whisltles with a f1c prochrger.
I'm trying to decided on an s/d tune or keep a MAF tune? I have the 100mm power maf but the pcm is MAXED out. The weather changes here in lower AL every 20 minutes and would love to keep the MAF tunes.
Is there another pcm that could be used that has a higher calabration program for the maf? I'm not wanting to spend a tone of $$$ to get this going.
Thanks.

But, like I said, that's just my opinion.
Good luck!

I believe with the powr maf in a 4" housing you could support big hp. You would need to fool the pcm and cut alot of tables in half...I'm no tuner so I couldn't give you the specifics. From what I have read most tuning experts (Greg Banish, Tuning School) prefer a maf set up as long as you can meter the airflow. Speed Density is more reserved for race cars where changes are made all the time.

Just scale the airflow/IFR tables etc & be done with it.(Dont forget the timing references will change)
The airflow limits will be there in an SD or maf tune so you will have no other choice if the stock pcm is to be retained.
