Default LS1Edit not reading

I just got LS1Edit, installed it on my laptop and headed off to MTI so Jayson could work his magic. Well, it won't commuicate with the PCM. Autotap will, so it can't be the com port. I even switched the autotap pc to code box (?) cable with the one from edit, and still not communicating. The underdash plug-in to the Edit box is communicating according to Jayson. Any ideas? BTW, this is a 2000 4.8. I had a predator on it but, I took it back to stock.

Get Jayson to try his tuner Edit box on your truck. He can't tune you w/o the truck version, but he can connect and download the tune.

We ordered Edit for an escalade last year. The third box they sent us finally worked.

many of the trucks will not work unless you do OFF Board meaning the rest of the CAN network and modules is not talking to the PCM at the time your using LS1edit
We do this with a special cable where PCM is out of the truck, tuned on the bench.

My 03 truck is that way - I have to use a benchtop harness. Its a pain. I'm pretty sure all 99-02 trucks work fine with the in-truck tune. My 99 model never had an issue, nor did the 00 truck that split the Edit cable cost with me.

We were using a benchtop harness for the Escalade we were working with. It just wouldn't connect to upload nor download. But a Tech2 could connect to the PCM using the benchtop harness.

This is a 2000, should be no problem with in car editing. Carputing says only 03's and up trucks have to be taken out right now.
