Default Question about HPTuners

I have a car that was professionally tuned with HPTuners. Since my tuner moved away I am interested in buying my own HPTuners suite and doing my own tuning.

If acquire an HPTuners suite will it work with my current tune or will I have to clear it and start fresh?

If I can work off the old tune will I have to use any credits to do so?

I appreciate any advice that can be offered.

You can work off the current tune as long as it's not locked. Most shops don't lock the PCM.

You will need to use the credits to license your PCM with your HP tuners interface.

I've got another question and since this thread is short and the title general enough I'll post it here.

If I were to reinstall an HPTuners suite on the same or a different laptop will there be any complications? This would be a hypothetical circumstance due to computer hardware or software failures requiring either a replacement computer or a reformat.
