NEED HELP!!!! TUNNING 98 BANK 2 o2 NOT RESPONDING
the car is a 98 firebird v6 body i swapped in a 98 ls1 and harness and pcm its got heads cam and bolt ons
went to tune the car at horse power sales in pompano beach fl and couldnt tune the car because the bank 2 o2 sensor was not fluctuating like the one in bank 1 i dont know anything about tunning cars but we changed the o2 and nothing changed so the tunner there said we couldnt do anything if he did have that o2 reading so i payed for a base map tune half a tune and the new o2 without even making one pull so im a little frustated the guys at horse power really tried to help me out alot but couldnt get anywhere they were great guys but now the question is what can be wrong that this o2 is not reading i put a scanner on it and shows that everything is fine so im at a stand still please help with any info thanks!!!!

While you are waiting, there's the "Search" function.
There is a whole lot of info on this stuff right under
your nose.
If the sensor is sitting at ~450mV steady it's either
an open circuit or has been faulted out by a code -
active or improperly deleted. But you don't say the
reading.
Personally I think if your tuner has to complain rather
than knows what to look for, you might want to pull
out. And blind-swapping parts isn't the mark of a pro
either in my book.

^^^ I agree, also the tuner should have disabled the o2's in the first place to use his wideband to dial in your fueling. It 'can' be done with narrowbands for partial throttle and idle but depending on cam headers and exhaust can fluctuate readings at idle and really light throttle. Also another note, when scanning a 98 car you can only scan a certain amount of parameters. If you try to scan more then some parameters will not read correctly. If using HPTuners 24 bits is the max you can scan on a 98.
