Default Tachometer not working on 2000 Camaro

Hi fellas , my cousin have 2000 Z28 Camaro , he installed LS2 engine and when he started the engine the RPM is 000 and not working , he checked fuses , grounds everything as well , any solutions ?

Cam sensor isn't connected.

or the extension harness has wires swapped.... most likely scenario. The car is probably a little slow to start and once in a while farts or backfires during cranking but runs fine otherwise..
