Default Tune is next on the list, who should I go with?

Well next up is a tune, I am gears and udp shy of full bolt ons but I don't see either of them coming with in the next year.

1bad_LS1 solutions mail order is 75 bucks, but I haven't heard much feed back from them.

Frost on the other hand I have heard very good things about it, but they are $125.

Opinions?

frost is def well worth the money hands down before i had him tune my PCM i have a superchips and only got to 13.4 at 106 with headers exhuast intake. after with his tune and true dual and 4.10 gears i got down to 12.7 at 110. the car ran so much better and had no sputters to it like with the superchips tuner. im sending him an email now about re-tuning mine again b/c ive done some add-ons and removals. and his customer service is next to none. u wont be dissappointed

Frost tuned my car, I am very happy with Frost and the tune. but I think my car is running alittle rich (gas milage REALLY sucks). I am only getting 200 miles to the tank and I baby the car. I will be buying HP Tuners soon and try it out.

Thanks for all of the referrals; I'm glad that you all are happy with the work done.

Though the tune has some effect on mileage, the front O2s have final say-so over your mixture control at all times except for first startup and WOT. When you are cruising, fueling is switched based on the response that they send. When your mileage suffers, they are typically suspect number1.

I have never used Frost for tuning. I have HPTuners and do some tuning on mine and a few buddy's cars. I have just enough knowledge about tuning to be able to tell who knows their stuff and who's "guessing", and I can tell you that he knows what he's talking about.
Send the extra $50 for a good tune. It'll be worth it

Another vote for Frost. He has tuned both of my F-bodys and my G8. He really knows his stuff and will take the time to make sure it is tuned properly.

Frost, please dont take my post the wrong way, I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY TUNE. Id bring you my car anywhere in the US but right now I am in Italy. I just think it might be running a little rich. Do you think I should replace my front o2's?

What is turn around time. I put a LS1 in my 81 TA. I need rear 02s deleted. Vats deleted. Tuned for LS6 intake LT headers and a cam around 233/239 .560/.605. Car will not be a daily driver but is there anything I am missing in my list of mods that might need to be done for a custom application. Also does he send you a print out of what was done. My 99 Z28 was done by Texas Speed about 6 years ago and I remember when I put the nitrous on there I tired to contact them about my timing and they did not have the info on file. $125 sounds like a good price! What if I make more mods down the road how much does a re-tune cost?? :c hug:
