Default AEM wideband installment

Be looking for this info all over and can't find the answer..
In my understanding with the LM-1 and AEM widebands all you have to do is connect red to fuse box and black for ground 2 other wires are for logging Purposes... Then screw in the wideband 02sensor to a 1bank or bank2 which ever one you choose to( prefer drivers side bank?)But what I don't get on Fbodys after you install the wideband 02sensor (down stream)where dose the factory plug goes?? Does it just hang down and have the SES light come on??
Thx..

You will need to get another bung welded in. The AEM comes with one.

Or if you put the wideband in one of the front factory O2 sensor locations you have to put the car in open loop via a tuning program so it doesn't utilize the O2's to run and turn various dtc's off so it doesn't set an SES. Putting an extra bung in would be the ideal solution.

X2, I put my front O2's in my crossover pipe and will be installing my wideband in the down pipe. I want the car to run closed loop.

Just thought I'd say the AEM is a great unit, I run it into my DFI for the wideband style closed loop. IIRC I got it for less than 200 dollars as well, which was totally worth it

Can't you just install the wideband in one of the stock rear bungs, and just tune the rear o2 sensors out?

Yea you would have to weld in then bung. If its going on a forced induction vehicle, I've always kept mine at about 8 inches from the turbo at no more than 45 degree angle
