Default Primary O2's...can they be tuned out?

Can primary O2 sensors be tuned out? I could care less about gas mileage as this is a weekend car, and Im tired of replacing O2 sensors. So basically, can the cars tune be set up so that the primary O2's are not used and the OBD always shows them to be functioning?

With an open-loop speed density tune, you run with no MAF and no 02 sensors.

You will need some type of tuning software and a wideband 02 controller to tune your car manually since you are basically removing the sensors that are doing all the tuning for you right now.

With the tuning software, you can also adjust the DTc's for the 02 sensors as well as anything else you want to turn off.

Is it possible to load 2 tunes into the ECU, one for non-WOT and the other for WOT, without using the primaries? My car seems to go through O2's every 18-20 months, and If I can save money by just tuning them out, that would be ideal. Car sees maybe 1500 miles a year, so mileage is not an issue for me

That wont make them last any longer. You need to either figgure out why they are going bad, or start running without them.

in the money you have spent on o2's you should have at least gotten a mail order tune for your mods. unless your putting 100000 miles on the car a year, the o2's should last longer than that. i'd bet you would knock a half of a second off the car with a good tune.

HA, id knock a half second off if I had the driver mod, haha. Ive seen the WOT tune the shop put in and its great. I dont know why it blows through O2 sensors at a quicker than normal pace, and frankly dont care, the car runs great regardless, just curious if I could completely remove them from the overall process by just tuning the ECU a certain way.

E10?
Make sure you tune it for E10 if you have E10
