Default C5 PCM Question

I am checking to see if anyone knows which pin on the PCM of a 2000 Corvette controls the cars TCS software and retards engine timing. I also need to know if the TCS program applies a ground to that pin like it does in an F-Body or is it a different set up? Thanks in advance.

To the Top.

For example on an F Body there's a pin on the pinout that you apply ground to and it will trip the timing retard side of the TCS. On a 1998 f-body pcm the pin number is an r30, on the 99 and up cars that pin is r53. I'm just trying to find out what number it would be for a 2000 MY C5 PCM. Thanks

No spark retard signal listed on a 2000 corvette PCM pinout.

PM me and I will send you a pdf of the pinout.

I hope you fix your problem.
I have a '99 TA, and have ask this question alot before, about to ground or not to ground the r53 pin in the PCM.
I have remove my TCS and just elminated that wire from the PCM.
Do I need to ground that pinout? With it not being grounded, will it retard timing. I have not driven the car after I did this, cars been down now for 2 years.
Thanks

Oh yeah, How did you come up with your screen name.
Only year they didn't make a Vette.
I have a red '80 and a black '98.

It is working correctly now. Thank you Hodge for the pinout diagram. It's a car I'm helping a buddy work on and the tuner actually used the diagram and isolated the problem, but I'm not sure how. Problem is now we may need to rethink the cam. The tuner is saying that the car isn't reaching it's full potential and the cam is too big for the intake. I'll start a separate thread for that though.

Yes, the 83 is for the absence of a Vette in 1983 due to the changeover from St. Louis assembly plant to Bowling Green. Every one of my friends calls me MrVette because I've been a Vette fanatic since I was 8. 26 now, still don't own one but it's on the horizon. In the process of buying a house now, but once the wife's car is paid off I plan to apply that money on a C5Z or possibly an LS3 C6 depending on what the market's like at that time.
