Extremely easy to tune. I would put different gears in it though. 2.73s do not help it in the 1/4 mile. No need for a shift kit. It can all be done by tuning.

With an a4, I would stick with 3.73s. You can run the factory heads if you wish, just change the springs out, and pretty much run the cam of your choice. However, the restricting factors will be the heads and intake.

But, either way, you will definitely be in the twelves with the gm hot cam, 3600 stall, and 3.73 gears, and a good tune. Shoot, I have a car that I tuned that has an all stock motor (99), Headers, ory, loudmouth, Yank 4000, 3.23 gears, tubular k-member, and he just hit 11.9x with it a few weeks ago.

Oh, just noticed you're in Cali. The hotcam might be your best choice. I've heard of people getting some 224/224 cams to pass emissions there. Your best bet is to call a shop that sells cams and see what they recommend for an emission vehicle.

As far as tuning, I would take your car someplace to be tuned, not send your computer anywhere.
