Tuning TCS timing retard
Has anyone increased the values in "Retard vs. RPM" and "Aggressive Retard vs RPM" under the TCS methods in HPTuners in attempt to decrease the number of throttle kickbacks? If so how much timing did you find effective?
What's the difference in these 2 tables, I'm aware of only one input telling the ecm to pull timing during a tcs event.

I bumped my allowed timing pull up and it did end up getting into
the throttle pullback less often. But if you're lighting them up it
will still go there when spark pull fails to stop it.
I ended up keeping the higher retard values and swapping over to
non-TCS cables. I've only had it go into ASR-off mode once since,
but had the traction control work many times.
I don't know for a fact but it seems to me the two tables are for
something like stages of trying to get traction (the system tries
spark, then throttle, then brake; maybe it tries spark, more spark,
throttle, brake).

You would have zero retard, and failing to control the
wheelspin will drop you into throttle pullback sooner.
You would rather have spark do the job because
spark doesn't upshift you.

So what I ended up doing was cut "Retard vs. RPM" in half and zeroed out "Aggressive Retard vs RPM", I can get quite a bit of wheel spin now before the gas pedal kicks back, and actually have enough time to react and back out myself before the throttle kicks back. And I'm manual so no worries about being up shifted. I think I'll play around with increasing the values as well to see how that works.
