Question 2002 Malibu VATS delete

Only choices in HP Tuners is Serial and PWM on the vats menu.

I read a post on HP Tuners forum that said to change it to the other and turn off the ses light codes.

Did that and the car will run for 5 sec. then shut off.

Anyone know on how to disable ?

Thx.

Or this http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12399

I've never had a customer say it hasn't worked just by setting the switch & dtc's up correctly, but if you do have an issue its as simple as emailing support with your stock & modified files and a scanner log while logging the vats status bit.

are you still using a bcm ,, if yes,, you can just put a 2.2k-ohm resister in the wiring for the pass lock

snip the wiring for the pass lock/vats and put the resister between the black and yellow wires going to the bcm,, then just do your 10 min re-learn

i do this all the time on cars that have a bad ign cylinder/ pass lock sensor

crank the engine it should start and die,, leave the key in the run position for 10 min, the security light should go out. turn the key off then try to start the car

on some gm vehicles you will need to do this 3 times
