Default new 02's now more codes!?

I installed denso 02 sensors hoping that my p1133 code would go away but it

only caused more codes! I replace both 02's and now have p0153, p1133,

p1153...WHYYYY? did I waste my money ?

I went threw the thread and noticed the op had to tune out the code from setting off a ses but my problem is different because now both 02's are having the same problem

It just means the O2s are not the problem. Problem is
the long tubes are cooling the gas and the sensor body
too much and pissing off the diagnostics (as well as
likely making them switch crappy, swing mixture at
idle and potentially mis-trim your mixture).

I doubt it is a vacuum leak but I did check for one and didnt find anything so now I will be going with a bosch 13111 02 it seems that they tend to run hotter than other models, If that doesnt work I will have a tuner remove the alert for p1133 and 53

Searched and found this thread...I just now got this error after having my longtubes on for 3 1/2 years, new o2's were put on during LT install.

Funny thing is is the timing...I had codes 1415 and 1416 deleted last Friday by a tuner, went and got an oil change, and then the SES light came on with this code. Coincidence?

You can't DELETE a code and then later have it mysteriously re-appear. Its either done correctly or not at all.

True. In addition, although some people are singing the praises of Denso's non stop, I found them a lot more sensitive to temperature and in fact were more finicky in my long tubes than the Delphi's I was running in them originally. When mine die I am probably going to try to get Delphi again if I can even find them at that time.

Also double check that there are no exhaust leaks as a small one can masquerade as O2 problems.

edit: just saw the above dates

More stuff: The Bosch's don't really have any significantly different heaters. The baffling may help them a little. Also agree with post right above that if you set a code to "No Error Reported" you aren't going to get it back. It sounds like someone cleared it, not turned it off.

Reading comprehension....you have none.

Codes 1415 and 1416 were deleted Friday.

Code 1153 triggered an SES later that day. SO which code "mysteriously re-appeared"?

I also just installed the 13111, hell of a lot better than the stockers with extensions thats for damn sure.

Dont do like me though if your fuel trim has already adjusted. Dont forget to unhook the battery & let the PCM relearn. I'm doin that right now cause i forgot & was still getting codes after all new parts went in. I'm gonna see if this fixes it.

I didn't let the battery drain but I did clear the codes with a handheld code reader/clearer

yea, you dont have to let the battery drain, just unhook it for a few minutes to kill the power to the PCM, then hook it back up & restart the car.

I just did mine yesterday & it solved the idle issue but i still have a light on. So I'm just gonna leave it be until this weekend when we can tune it.

if you haven't deleted the 1133 and 1153 codes...delete the damn things and be done.

been running for years without these codes, along with thousands of people up here
