passing obdII emission testing in ohio
Here in Cleveland, Ohio we have E-CHECK. Any car 1996-up (OBDII) just get scanned and a visual check, no actual tailpipe testing. My SS has a healthy offroad cam and ALL emission stuff removed. The PCM was completely tuned so I have no SES lights or anything like that. Now say I take some converters and cut them in half and weld them to the y-pipe (to look like there's cats on the car), will the car actually pass and I can get regular plates instead of my Collectors Plates?

I'm in cleveland also, and I pass just fine. I do have cats though, but they just need to see them. Its always kinda funny since my car is so low, they really have to look hard to see them. I think there may be a law that the position of the cats have to be in the original spot, but I have long tubes and haven't had an issue.
I also have EGR removed and that kind of stuff, but since the codes are deleted its no problem.
