Installing 4L80E, please instruct me on getting tune right
Hello everyone.
After fighting with my old combo for years, I finally got a 4L80E bolted up to my '98 TA. I've got the instructions on making the wiring work. I checked out HP Tuners forums and got an Excel spreadsheet for setting shift speeds/TCC lockup among other things, quite a useful spreadsheet.
But my previous tranny was vacuum modulated (FLT Lvl5). And it's been a LOOOONG time since I manually tuned a tranny table lol.
What I'm looking for is the RIGHT way to get this dialed in. I can install a pressure gauge to do it if need be, I just want it right. Is there a place I can find a baseline 4L80E table to adjust from?
Sorry if this has been asked too much, I wasn't sure if it deserved to be here or the Automatic Transmission forum more.
Thanks for your time
