Bought my Hp tuners Pro brand new sealed for $610 shipped off ebay this month. I had to email and ask for this price because it was listed for $650 buy it now.

If you really want to buy from a sponsor then Frost would be a good choice.

I'm a newb when it comes to tuning. What are the differences between the different versions of HP tuners?

Thanks!

The standard version will do everything the pro will do in regards to tuning. The two big differences are 1) the pro adds several 0-5volt inputs where you can run an external wideband etc into the interface and log wideband a/f inside your hptuners logs and 2) pro adds black box datalogging capability where you can just plug the cable into your OBDII port and record logs without a computer present at the time.

Pro +1, the std is great if you don't have or plan on getting a wideband or don't already have one(alot of the newer GM's have a wideband from the factory that can be logged) but even just having the capability to datalog without a laptop is worth its weight.

I don't even know where to start learning about how to tune. I saw in another thread there's suppose to be a good book about it. I might start there.

The Tuning School's book is hands down the best. We offer that in a package with the HPtuners. If you're interested, shoot me a PM and we can discuss it.
