Default What is wrong with my tune / do I need to send my computer off? Professional help plz

2004 GTO 6spd
K&N Cold air intake
Torquer V.2 camshaft
Stock 243's w/PAC .650 lift springs
Gutted convertors
MSD wires
TR55 spark plugs
Gripforce Stage2 clutch
18lb lightweight flywheel

Car was dyno'd with everything but TR55's/heads/cam/gutted convertors and made 290.6rwhp/304.4rwtq.
Installed heads/cam & gutted cats/TR55's - Made 386rwhp/374rwtq. Impressive right? Well the car ran like crap. Idled awful, died constantly while pulling in places, excessive bucking/jumping. Throttle response was laggy and to me didn't even really seem too much faster. Needless to say I was upset.

Different guy retuned it but didn't get it on the dyno. He concentrated on driveability. Car idles better, doesn't die near as often, bucking has smoothed out some but the biggest thing I noticed is that the throttle response was alot better.

But the other big kicker. I only have 245/35/R18's on my car. From a roll in first @5-25 or whatever, without taching it up it will not spin tires. And I've heard everything in the world, spinnin ain't winnin, oh its good it don't spin, your car is heavy... blah blah blah. I'm sick of it. 374rwtq should obliterate these cheap skinny tires. I'm half tempted to say my car HONESTLY spun worse when it was stock.

I about got sick when I went to the track. Stock it ran 8.99@82-83mph. After it ran 8.90@84mph. HOW IN THE WORLD DO YOU GAIN 94rwhp & 70rwtq and it only run .09 seconds faster? Spinning isn't the problem, obviously! Even if I tach it up to 6k rpms and drop it, it stops spinning 1/2 through 2nd and stock it would go through 3 gears!

The only real reason I'm questioning the tune is the second tuner asked if I wanted traction control turned permanetly off and I said yes. Well he said my computer was "austrailian" and he couldn't figure it out, that mine still automatically puts traction control on. But he said he dissabled "torque management" in the transmission for when I turned the t/c off. One of my real good friends said that the torque managment is an "abuse limiter" and that he bets the guy didn't actually disable it or my t/c would be off all the time because he had it did to his 2010 SS camaro.

How I absolutely know it isn't right despite the numbers, my buddies stock 06 GTO put down 346rwhp&360rwtq and he was running 8.50's on stock everything. His car breaks traction in 1rst no matter what speed, and sometimes in second.

What is wrong with my car?

Take it to a top of the line LSX specialist shop and have it tuned.

With you being in TN, take it to Atlanta. Go to Chris at Hunters Performance Solutions or Vengeance Racing. Either one of them will get it dialed in for you.

If you have access to someone with HP Tuners, you can post up the tuning file, and you will get a ton of us to put eyes on it and see what might be going on.
