frost tune?
Hello guys, i have a 02 a4 ws6 and it has lt's,ory, catback, lid,pp tb and msd wires...im thinking of putting a slp maf since theyre one available to me for 120 brand new, so my question is if i get that maf and i want to get a frost tune do i have to let them know i have it so they can tune it for me correctly?

yes, you would want to list ALL mods to the car other than stock when you have a mail order tune done.......but the stock maf is good to nearly 500 flywheel hp.....until you're built up to where you're kicking 430-440 to the tires, i wouldn't worry about it....my Camaro is 401rwhp on a stock maf, no plans on changing it......i'd probably throw that money at a set of 3:73 gears......Frost tuned for me back when i had just bolt-ons, he did a great job.

Ive been told not to mess with my gears one too many times, i was told to just get a stall convertor and wait till my 10 bolt gives out on me and get a 12 bolt with 3.73s....

skip the crappy aftermarket maf and hold out on the gears until you need a better rear end.
Frost Tunes are awesome. Money well spent.
Stall>Gears, 9 times out of ten, unless you're plagued with the 2.73 open differential as i was.

Ok so frost tune it is, now one of my concerns is....when i get a tune by frost, how do i go about dynotunning it after? Do i have to return my pcm to frost so he can return it to stock then get it dynotuned or how do i do it?

No, they can just run on the dyno and make tweaks on top of the Frost tune if needed. I wouldn't spend the bucks on a dyno tune until you either do a head or cam swap.
