chasing a misfire

chasing a misfire Im chasing a misfire on my 97 Bird 3.8.
Its not the easiest thing in the world to change plugs and wires on......
I want to try and narrow it down.
Someone has borrowed my autotap cable so I cant use that.
My snapon MT 2500 has a misfire counter but it comes up with nothing.
Ive swapped coil packs with known good ones.
I have a few OBD2 to serial cables and wonder if theres any software out there that will do something similar to autotap?
