98 trans am bone stock with 4000 stall hpt help!!!
Can someone please help me tune this. It's a bone stock car with 2.73 gear and it's not shifting right. Could someone tell me what I need to change or post a tune for me to load in it. This is my first attempt at this stuff so any and all help would be great!!!!!

when i installed my 3600 converter my car had a problem with shifting early only when you were on the gas. almost felt like it started missing real bad and then shifted way too soon. the cure for mine was to delete torque management. hope this helps you.

It's a friends car and mods are coming just broke the trans and while it was out went ahead and had it built and put the converter in. Just want to get it shifting before we go any further. And thanks I will try that. I think I need to lower the shift points and raise the rev limiter some cause it just stays on the limiter on the 1-2 shifts until you let out of the gas

Most agree on using the upshift modifiers for the pressure increases for shift feel. Shift speed will need to reduced because of the increased converter flare over stock at WOT.

I had the same problem with my 98 camaro when it put a 3200 stall in with just bolt ons. but it was only hitting the rev. at the top of third. I took it to too tuner and never got it perfect. They kept telling me it was harder to tune the 98 computers cause they are defferent from the rest of the years. I had to bring the shift speed down and the shift point up.

There isnt any thing lazy about a 3200 stall i put one in bolt on only car and it drop 1/8 time by 6 tenths. from 8.54 to 7.92. Not to say a 4000 wouldnt do better. i think a 4000 was a good choice
