Default Lower idle rpm. What is cheapest way?

Im looking to lower my idle some on my 2000 TA. Its set to 1000 now and I would like to lower it a little to bring out the cam more.

Is there a cheaper way to do this other than a mail order tune?

Thanks

How is it set for 1000, in the tune or mechanicly, by adjusting the throttlebody stop or drilling the hole in the plate larger? If its in the tune you need somebody to change it

With a 408 I can guarantee you there's a tune on that som' bitch.

So yes, whomever built and tuned that beast set the idle to 1000rpm. Your best bet would be to take it to a local tuner, or someone that has access to hpt/efi live and have them do a quick adjustment.

^^^
I'm with him. It can be easily tune to lower the idle speed as long as it is not idling completely rich.
