Default Started up 24x conversion, running super rich-scanner readings inside.

Alright, I got a start up tune from a tuner so I could get the car running and then drive it to the dyno. well Its running so rich that it fouled the plugs in just two short idle sessions. Here are some mac scanner readings, both key on engine not running and engine running. If I rev the engine it will die when it comes back to idle. I believe that there is something wrong with the injectors in the tune, My fuel pressure is 41 at idle and if I rev it it drops to 38 psi. I changed the pump strainer, and the fuel filter. I know the pump is good, its a 255lph walbro. please help me figure this out as I would LOVE to drive my car.

Reset the trims and unplug the front O2s.

Ill try that, but it seems to be running in open loop all the time anyways? It doesnt use the 02 in open loop does it? im still gonna try what you said after I change the plugs.

Also, I did install a hotwire kit for the pump while the car was down for the install. I wonder if my FPR is shot, its a stock replacement....

Without seeing the tune in it you are just wasting your time. It is running extremely lean, not rich as the O2s are 113 mv and 30 mv and the trims are adding 20+ to 40+ % fuel. That is what is fouling the plugs. One possibility is your tuner thought he needed to scale the injectors for 58 psi when you are not running that high of fuel pressure, but then again, without seeing the tune, who knows. 41 psi FP seems reasonable for a 3 bar fuel rail vacuum referenced regulator at idle vacuum. Unplug the hose and it should go to 43.5 psi. If it does, there is nothing wrong with it.

That is a good idea, he is supposed to be looking at the tune and letting me know. Im sure I will hear from him tomorrow.

EDIT- There was a member on another board that brought the IAC to my attention. Its maxed out at 160. Causing it to go lean. I checked it per http://shbox.com/1/iac2.jpg I got 55 ohms on each test, then I also tried resetting it to no avail. So I guess my Iac is bad.

What engine mods do you have?

Make sure your spark tables are all the same (hi/lo, drive, park) and your most likely idleing in the .36-.48 g/cyl range so you may need to up those values (looks like your trying to command 26).
Injector bank setup is correct, but since your reading positive fuel trims, that senses a lean condition and its trying to add fuel, so add some fuel in those cells (MAF or VE whatever your tuning) (idle is probably around 2500-3500 hz)

You need to log all these values in the table/chart to make sure though.

A log would be great from open loop to closed loop idle. Give us a lot of insight.
