detonation Hi guys,
How can you tell if you have detonation ? I have a 2002 TA with 21K miles, it has FTRA, lid and magnaflow muffler. Between about 4500-6000 rpm I hear a rattling sound but only under WOT. If you spin it up at lower throttle I don't hear it. I get no check light.
does detonation sound like a ramdon tick or rattle under WOT? And why would a
car with so few mods do this. Its a M6 BTW, and its not gas, it has seemed to have gotten worse over the last 6 months. Today it was mid 70's and it was the worst ever.

What is bang BTW ? Its so specific to RPM and WOT, I dunno I have no idea whats going on. I'm just trying to rule things out before I can tear into it this weekend.
