Default Changing injector data

I just bought Greg Banish's dvd that comes with a bunch of injector data. My HP Tuners should be delivered by UPS tomorrow. If I pull the current tune out of the computer and what's in my tune doesn't match what's in Greg's excel spreadsheet, what do I do? If I change it to the correct data, how will that affect my tune?

If the current injector data is wrong, inputting the correct data will throw the rest of your tune off. At a minimum it would require a MAF/VE recalibration.

I'm speed density, so I don't have a MAF to deal with. I'm not sure if I'm hurting myself or helping by learning how to tune starting with speed density. The is a loaded Dynojet about 30 miles from me, so I'm going to rent some time on that for VE tuning.

you can accomplish alot of what you need to do on the street. Start learning there or even in the driveway before you spend money on dyno time.

Definitely tune on the street. You can't get real world/condition data on a dyno. Just because you get max power on a dyno doesn't mean you're gonna get max performance on the street/track.

It's a loaded Dynojet that I can do steady state VE tuning and WOT. I do plan on a lot of street tuning though.

To each his own. I'm poor so all my tuning is done on the street. :-)

Use your two feet to populate what you can, and with a high stalled car it's a chore and you'll be guessing at the lower RPMs based on trends and histogram data. A loaded dynojet or any loaded dyno isn't going to get you better results than that.
