Decreased Timing
Could a timing increase significantly effect TQ/HP? Such as 4-6 difference at WOT.
I was messing around running some logs on EFILive w/ a ported MAF housing and I noticed that timing is lower at about 22 or so and at about 6K RPM it is up to 28. Is this enough timing? or will more timing help out?
Also I have a little KR at around 5K of less than 1.5. This should be safe, correct? ANd if I were to add more fuel (using MAFT) would this cut timing any?
Thx

I found out something interesting my last N/A dyno.... by going from 30-31 through tq peak to 27, i gained almost 23rwtq. (i guess i should say by adding more timing midrange i lost a ton of tq) I had ~zero KR both runs, nothing else changed and the AFR was 12.9.
I ran out of time before i was able to see if lowering the timing up top made any difference. I've always been told that on a N/A car, run as much timing as you can without getting any detonation... guess the Ls1 head design doesn't warrant that theory.
