Default What would make idle 25 higher than set value?

I have programmed the car to idle at 825 and it refuses to do so. It will idle 850 +/- 10 rpm. I had it at 875 and it idled at 900. What could be cause the pcm to make the idle value higher. Values are check by autotap. Thanks.

John

The set Idle value is a target for the PCM - not an absolute. You might try reducing your IAC value (a small amount) which will reduce airflow at idle. What are your IAC and RAF tables set at 40*C and up?? Alternatively, you could reduce timing advance a couple/few degrees at 1200 ->800 RPM. Hope this helps some.

Joel's right. I gave up trying to match, set and actual, idle. There are so many tuning compromises when modded, I'm just glad it is so streetable.
