Default Bricked pcm?

i have a mail ordered pcm that i bought last year ago and worked fine when i bought it, then when we tried to tune with it it connected fine and we got to change some stuff. went to try and flash another tune in and the pcm wouldnt connect at all. luckily at the time i had another pcm to replace it. tuning was being done by a pretty well known tuner that has tuned numerous cars.

anyone know if theres a way to fix it?

I ran into this with my 99 Silverado. It had never been tuned supposedly but the selected pcm controller wouldn't connect.

I just tried them all and the one for a later model 5.3 connected. Maybe when it was serviced at GM they updated the pcm or something?

What are you using to tune it? At what point does it fail?

Can you read the tune back out of it still or is that not being allowed either?
