Default P1639

WELL HERES A LINK TO MY OTHER TOPIC IN THE TRANSMISSION SECTION.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...-did-i-do.html

IF IM GETTING A P1639 CODE AND THE PCM ISNT COMMUNICATING WITH THE TPS YET THE WIRES TO THE TPS ARE GOOD AND I REPLACED THE TPS WITH A NEW ONE. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN CHECK BEFORE RESORTING TO A NEW PCM?

All ive done is check continuity between the tps plug and the connector on the pcm. That diagram kinda confuses me to be honest. I printed it out anyway and ill get one of my buddys to give me a hand. Thanks for the link.

Sorry to bump this thread after 6 years. This is only for people looking to figure out this code other than being the exhaust hanger. Try checking your wiring harness behind the ECM. A smaller group of wires in black conduit will be coming out of the firewall on the passenger side. Remove the ECU to gain access. There's a self tapping screw that this harness may have rubbed through. Open the conduit and repair wires if necessary and secure harness away from screw!
