Swapping a 2001 SD M6 PCM into a 2002 MAF A4 car??? I'm looking to upgrade the '01 ECU and was wondering if I can use the SD programmed ECU in the '02. I am also going to move the M6 from the '01 to the '02, but I know what I need to do with that. I also know that I can/have to change the VIN in the old ECU, which I can do with my HP Tuner. And yes, I have done the search, but didn't get the specific answer.

You should be able to do that just fine. You will have to change the vin in the ecm. EFIlive allows you to do that without charging any credits if you have someone local with it. Im 2 hours from you and can do it for you in person for free as well..
The computer in the 02 is EXACTLY the same part number, so if anything, it might just be better to flash the 02 with the file you have and call it a day.
