Bucking and surging?

Bucking and surging? Big cams cause this and there's only so much one can tune out, but what are your findings? I'm asking about overlap? Is say 15* of overlap too much to completely tune out?

depends on the size of the motor... but for example 346 with a cam with 15 degrees of overlap will likely always buck to a degree at and under 1500 rpm... you can generally clean it up with timing adjustments to a degree, but thats about it (assuming maf/ve is dialed in)
