SES light

Default SES light

The last 4 days my Service Engine Soon light has been on..cars feels as strong as ever isnt missing or anything...any ideas since the car isnt stumbling i figured it might be some little common think I can do to check and see if its the problem.

Bring it to your local Auto Zone for a free scan. It's probably something stupid, like emissions related.

I agree, it will probably have to do with the AIR system or some crap...

Goin to run my car tomorrow night would any of the things yall are listing be detrimental to performance...car feels pretty strong but might run a lightning i ran a while back and didnt want to run him when im not up to snuff..going to autozone tomorrow after i get out of school..just tell em i need them to scan my car for an ses code?

Yup, they'll ask you the year of your car, get the scanner, and pull up the code.

When they pull the code and by some chance cant tell you exactly whats causing it. Just post the code up in the PCM/Diagonistics section.

Don't buy Shell gas, that causes my SES to go on. Plop some Mobil in there and away goes the SES.

I hear shell has corrosive elements that LS1s are particular to.
