Speedo correction??
Does anyone know a cheap way to get my speedometer accurate after a gear swap? I went from 3:42 to 3:73 in a 99 SS. It appears my only choices are to bring it to a local tuner ( I cannot find one that will just do the speedo without a tune, about $400-$500) or buy a predator or similar equipment. I would rather put my money into other things on the car. I really am uneasy on messing with the computer myself. Are there any other options??

I had a similar problem with my 99 Z28. I ended up buying a HPP III from the for sale section on here for $150. The odd thing was I had to program the car for 30" tall tires & 2.73 gears to dial in the speedo. I run a Moser 12 Bolt with 4.11's & 25.5" tall tires.
I know it don't make sense but the speedo is dead on now. Fred
