I would be a leery of someone doing a tune for that cheap. Most of the mail order guys charge atleast $150. You probably will get about $100 worth of a real tune lol. If its just cutting off codes for a $100 that sounds about right.

If the guy knows what he's doing you'll maybe gain 10RWHP. But there are some nice things that he can do for you that you might want:
CAGS removal if Manual
Better shift points if Auto
Raise rev limiter
Raise speed limiter to 200MPH (I hated only going 163MPH)
Lower the temp when the fans kick in to 180 (put in a 180 degree thermostat with this)
Remove any torque management

I paid 700 for a tune on my 160lb/hr injectors with dyno time. I made an additional 60RWHP. That's 11.6 dollars per HP.

You'll spend 10.0 dollars per HP. So yeah I'd say it's worth it. However......if you plan on adding exhaust soon or something else like headers then I'd wait. If it's not till next year then I'd do it.

Hope that helps.

For some reason here in South texas there are a couple of people with HP Tuners doing tunes for cheap, they wanted 150 but guy said 100 if i do it this weekend....Thanks for your input I actually have a 160 stat by hypertech in the car but know that it is pointless till i have tune doen cause my temp still reads 210 when hot....
Thanks for quick replies guys

I've also seen people spend $500+ for a tune and it's a hack job or lock it to cover their tracks. So for $100 being your mods it's worth it.
