Abuse Mode??

Abuse Mode?? Question is abuse mode like limp mode? Pulles timing? I've heard that full throttle can cause abuse mode and feathering the throttle can get the rpms up. My car runs great at idle, but push the throttle down and it spits and rpms drop. But if I ease into the throttle it goes to 5k rpms. But in drive it bearly climes in rpms. My car has 255lph pump, 5.3l, ls1 intake 99' throttle body, 700r4, 99' silverado ecm. Tuned ecm by spare ecm. Any thought as to what it may be? Abuse mode??
