going to track first time with race gas and boost, any advice?
going friday to the track. setup is stock long block lq4, ls6 cam, etc. tc78 turbo
80lb injectors, 2 255lph pumps,
speed density, 2 bar map
tuning with hp tuners.
im going to be running vp112 fuel (unless i hear that i shouldnt) and running 14psi wastegate spring pressure.
i normally drive it on 7-10 on pump gas 93 with between 12-14* timing (and unfortunately my a/f has been extremely rich 10.2:1) just installed new wideband and will be datalogging my runs.
can someone give me some conservative figures i should start with for my timing and a/f on vp112?
thanks in advance

A 2 Bar MAP does not read to 30# of boost...
OP - your MAP sensor is fine for 14#...
I would run 11.7 to 11.8 to start off... as for timing, start low (your pump gas timing should be close on the race gas with increased boost) and bump it up a degree at a time - watching your MPH increments and read the plugs. Would be best to tune it on a load bearing dyno so you could see how the changes effect the whole curve, but it is doable on the track too...

Thank you BLK02WS6,
would it hurt anything to make the first pass where im at now,and just add the boost to 14? timing like you said should be good to start(12-14*) but with it as rich as it is? just to get started and then tune from there, or should i get it commanding the mid 11 afr first?

i ended up running the stiff spring(14) and only made 12psi, 14* timing and 10.5 afr. truck didnt really hook all day. went 10.86 at 127.96 and a couple 11.1-11.2s at 126-127 spinning bad .
