Like anything else, the answer is it depends. Pretty much all trucks were drive by wire, All cars except Vette (Camaro/Firebird) were drive by cable. This is significant because the truck PCM does not have IAC circuitry, and the LS1 harness probably does not have the provisions for the electronic throttle pedal. A reman LS1 computer can be had for $100. Probably better off doing it that way.

The 01 truck PCM is essentially the same as the LS1. Different OS but same hardware. You can flash a Camaro/Corvette OS and tune. I have done it a few times and no problems.
Even 03+ truck PCM's can work with 99-02 LS1 harness, just a little more electric work (a little different pinout and different setup for TAC/DBW vs IAC), but not an issue.
Right now, I'm swapping a 2005 5.3 engine into a 71 Chevelle using a LS1 PCM and harness. Was going to use the 05 PCM but it didn't have the IAC driver so I got a LS1 PCM
