I have a 99 LS1 in and 85cj-7. Stock except for headers.

So last week I get to work and the idle was surging up and down when I pulled in. Open the hood and the wires to the MAF had somehow come loose and melted to the header. Finally cut out and re-wired today but still have the same issue.

I did have it scanned when I left work and it read a major MAF malfunction.

I am thinking the shorted out wires killed the MAF's???
