My SES light comes on when I turn the key to the ON position. When I start my car the SES light go out like it should. If I turn my car off after I have been driving. When I go to turn the key to the ON position the SES light does not come ON nor does it come ON when I start the car. Only after the car has sat form a few minutes the SES light will come back on like it should. Has anyone had this problem or might know what it could be.

My '01 PCM does that also, just noticed it last weekend. SES light comes on during initial startup, and after it's been sitting for a while...but no SES light if I shutdown and then immediately restart.

Any info on this issue it has come to visit me.
But will not let me e check the car without it coming on at key on.

Wow this is an old thread! Getting ready to go see my girlfriend and going to see if it happens to me. What do you mean by e check the car?

Checked it twice and my SES does the same thing so guess it's normal.

Emissions check they reject you if the light does not come on when they key the ignition thinking you took the bulb out.
