Default E85 Help

I am having mixed ideas about how to start off an E85 tune. I have succesfully ran E85 before on a vehicle with taking 30% out of injector flow rate vs KPA and leaving stoich at 14.7 for everything.

I am targeting 12-12.3 afr for PE on the gas scale which is about .81-.83 lambda

was wondering if someone can critique my setup and let me know about how you sucessfully ran E85 if possible.

Thanks in advanced!

Info about my setup:

rebuilt forged 347 LS1 with PRC stg 2.5 heads (62cc), 268/270 at .050" .657" lift, 108LSA, Fast 102 manifold and TB, 60lb motoron inj.
Running a Haltech 103R using a LS7 style MAF.

recommend not doing what you plan on doing.

change your stoich and modify your ve. e85 uses about 30% MORE fuel, not less.

I copied this from another forum, the "red" I left out so the values listed are usable:

stay out of the RED.

By reducing his IFR by 30% he is adding 30% more fuel... (can you see why...?)

But he could simply do this: leave the IFR alone, set stoich to 9.76, and then adjust PE as necessary to achieve 0.81-0.83 lambda.

I didnt think it was that simple by just changing stoich and PE. Suppose its worth a try. I have the car idleing but it wont rev up or drive to well...

Thanks for all the Values 98Camarod

I tried shortcutting it and not changing the Stoich table by adjusting VE since I am 1 bar SD. I could not get it to idle for my life, but part throttle and WOT were fine.

I then went to a basic stock tune with my 1 bar SD, changed Stoich and PE, redid the VE table before going WOT.. Man, what a difference. Runs like a champ!!

I can run 91, E48, and E85 with just a simple Stoich/PE change (and timing for 91, 13-1cr/8.7dcr).

Thanks for the input. sounds convincing enough to take that approach.
