Have not found a whole lot on it, just bits here & there.
Here is what happens on the F-body:
1) wheelspin detected on acceleration
2) spark retard - wheelspin stop? If no...
3) throttle relax - wheelspin stop? If no...
4) ABS apply - wheelspin stop? If no...
5) Give up, set ASR OFF light.
Now, a -smart- traction control for a Torsen car
that was about performance, not safety for yer
grandma, would forget about (2) and (3) and just
apply ABS to the spinning rear wheel until -rear-
tire speeds were within some %. But these cars
want to keep the rear from spinning relative to
the fronts (which means you're hosed if you run
bigs-n-littles too).
But I bet your report would get a better grade if
you didn't just write "TCS licks *****, the end"
so don't use me as your only reference. Here are
some relevant "eye candy" illustrations you can
sprinkle on, anyway.
