Default Newbie has Diablo questions

I have several questions about a Diablo Predator.

1. I seem to hit My rev limiter. How high do I want to raise it with My mods and will I still be making power at a higher RPM or will i just be making noise? What is red line for a stock internal LS1?
first time at the track while manualy shifting thru the gears it was hitting the rev limiter. I was told to just leave it in drive. Is this the best way to make the most out of a 1/4 mile pass with a auto?

2. What should I set My shift points at WOT?

3. Is there a specific known tune that will work best with My mods so I can get the most out of My tune?

4. How much line pressure should I run on the transmission?

1. Yes, leave it in D, manually shifting will never work
If it still hits the limiter in D, try raising it 200 rpm or so, and check to see if the trans is slipping...

2. You dont seem to have many mods, no need to rev it to the moon, best bet is to raise them by 100 rpm at a time and run it down the track and see if you find any ET improvements.

3. The Diablo tune for premium fuel will work great for your current mod list.

4. You can increase line pressure as high as the tool will let you, no worries, its up to how you like the shift to 'feel'...

Thanks

Thanks Mike
Installed the Predator today and it is awesome.
really woke the car up. When it hits second gear it spun the tire with trac control on. At WOT with trac off it was sideways when it hit second. It has never done that before. It pulls really hard now especially at the upper rpm.
Can' wait to see what the E.T gain will be.

So now that i have installed and track tested the new mods i was wondering about data logging.
My question is if I bought a used tuner can i data log and have diablo tuners look at the log and send me a custom tune?
I know i would have to buy a cable.
I was real close to hitting 12.9x's if i could hook up and get my 60ft times down and get the most out of a tune

As long as its a newer tool with rev. 9r01 or higher it will log and accept custom tunes.

Now that spring is here I got to make some runs at the track.
I picked up a little with some new tires but still no 12's(new time in sig)
How do you bump up timing and rpm shift points and is this going to hurt or help it run faster?
Mike said in previous post to step up @ 100rpm interval shift point and run it down the track. Exactly how do you do this?
Will giving it or taking away timing help??
Thanks

pick the tune that you want to load, then choose the option to modify the tune, Then choose modify parameters, then go to the shift points settings and increase W O T shift settings by 100 rpm each. Once youve made The changes, press Esc. until it asks if you want to install The tune and choose yes.

Thanks

Thanks Mike.
I played around with the tuner and learned alot. Now when I go to the track I can really do some testing to get the most out of the tuner with my mods.

whats your thought on raising COT a little??

A cool night on sticky track I hit My 12.s goal. 12.98 @107.8 w. 2.00 60ft
I bumped shift point up by 500 rpm and lower trans shift pressure 2psi.
worked great. I original bumped up shift rpm 1500 but was hitting rev limiter..
Thanks Mike for your insight..
