Question is my IAC counts too high and if so how to adjust it lower?

I just noticed at idle that my IAC counts around 120-130? That seems fairly high since I did some searching stock is around 20-40counts? Im running a 232/238 .599”/.601” cam an idle is set at around 850RPMs

No, that's fairly normal. There's no way you will
see IAC=40 with that high an idle RPM, unless you
have an air leak.

ah okay. didnt know there was a huge difference between counts from 40-60 to 120-130 from 550RPMs to like 850RPMs. just wasnt certain i had to do some tweaking in my tuner or TPS adjuster screw.

If you open the throttle plate with the screw it will bring the IAC counts down

You can also drill the hole in the throttle plate a little larger. With the t/b off of course. You have to be careful opening the plate more because if you dont get the tps sensor reset or go too far it will take it out of the idle table in the ecm.

a few searches say its a good idea to adjust the adjuster screw but then the are other threads say its better to adjust it via a tuner. just rode the car to work from lunch and the IAC is actually 145-150 at operating temps at idle. i prefer not to drill a larger hole in the tb blade so i may adjust the adjuster screw a bit and did a few searches on the tps relearn function. currently the TPS voltage with key ON is 0.49-0.50 with the TPS 0 to 0.4 fwiw

You should NEVER drill the tb hole out bigger. There is no reason to drill the hole out bigger. The right way is to adjust the set screw and even adjust the TP sensor if needed.

Keep the tps voltage to .67 max and you won't have any problems
